How much does AI search visibility cost in the UK?
Our three programmes run £1,500, £3,000 and £6,000 a month. What each buys, and what hiring the capability in-house would cost instead.
There is no useful single price for AI search visibility without defining the work. Writing answers, repairing a website, earning references elsewhere and measuring enquiries are different jobs. A quote that covers one is not comparable with a quote that covers all of them. Here is what our programmes buy, and how to compare that commitment with building the capability yourself.
What each programme buys
| Programme | Monthly fee | Minimum term | Content each month | Additional scope |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visibility | £1,500 | 6 months | 4 pieces | The full automated engine and shared foundations described below. |
| Domination | £3,000 | 6 months | 8 pieces | Everything in Visibility, plus conversion testing, a positioning workshop, a digital PR kick-start and a senior strategist with a delivery pod. |
| Authority | £6,000 | 12 months | 12+ pieces | Everything in Domination, scaled: A/B testing, the Category-Authority Engine, a dedicated team including social content, the Conversion Rebuild and the full optimisation add-on suite. |
All three include the Growth Blueprint: buyer questions, competitor gaps, an ideal customer profile, the buying journey and a roadmap. They also include technical foundations covering structured data, consistent business facts and llms.txt; monthly content optimisation; landing pages, CRM connection and calls to action; review generation, case-study production and brand guidelines; and a live dashboard with a monthly call.
There are no setup fees. Payment is by Direct Debit, with 30 days' notice after the minimum term. Multiplying the listed monthly fee by that term gives a commitment of £9,000 for Visibility, £18,000 for Domination or £72,000 for Authority. Budget against that commitment, not just the first invoice.
What building it in-house requires
The fair comparison is with the capability you need, not an imaginary employee who can do everything. These are responsibilities to cover, not necessarily separate full-time hires. One person may handle several; your existing team may already cover much of the work.
- Research and prioritisation: understand buyers' questions, assess the current site and decide which gaps deserve work first.
- Technical delivery: make pages accessible to crawlers, maintain structured data and business information, and implement website changes safely.
- Editorial work: interview subject experts, write useful answers, check claims and keep published content accurate.
- Conversion and measurement: connect enquiries to the CRM, maintain reporting and investigate whether attention becomes worthwhile business.
- PR and coordination, where needed: develop credible material for outreach, approach relevant publishers and keep delivery moving across people.
Start with a task list and put a named owner beside each responsibility. Ask how much time they can actually protect for it. A marketer with a full workload is not spare capacity. If they take this on, record what stops or who picks up the displaced work. That is part of the cost even if nobody new joins payroll.
Then account for tooling: site crawling, analytics, question and citation checks, publishing, CRM reporting and, if relevant, outreach. You may already have suitable tools. Count only the additional licences you need, but include setup, maintenance and time spent checking their output. A dashboard still needs someone to decide what its findings mean.
Time to competence depends on the starting team. An experienced editor may need technical help; a developer may need practice turning customer interviews into useful copy. Budget for learning, review and rework before assuming a steady publishing pace. Check competence through completed work: can the team diagnose a problem, fix it, publish an accurate answer and explain what changed?
Compare both options over the same period. For in-house delivery, add allocated staff time, any recruitment and employment costs, additional tools, training and outside specialist help. For a programme, add your internal review and coordination time to the fee. Neither route removes the need for your expertise. Someone must supply accurate business facts, approve claims and deal with enquiries.
What the fee does not buy
Paid advertising is excluded: no Google Ads, Meta ads, LinkedIn ads or paid media management. Visibility does not include the Conversion & Positioning Lab, digital PR kick-start or strategist and delivery pod. The Conversion Rebuild and full optimisation add-on suite are Authority inclusions. Check the full services scope before treating any extra work as included.
You are also not buying control over an engine's answers or a promise of sales. Our published guarantee is citations in 90 days, or we work free until you have them, with the citation target agreed in writing before you sign. A citation is not an enquiry, and an enquiry is not a profitable customer. Assess those separately.
Choose against the work you need
If your team already covers the responsibilities and has time to deliver, keeping the work in-house may make sense. If important responsibilities have no owner, compare the cost of filling those gaps with the relevant programme. Do not choose Authority just because it is the largest package. Its additional work and longer commitment need a reason in your plan.
Questions about cost and commitment
■ 01Why is there a minimum term?
Research, technical work and publishing need time before there is much evidence to assess. The minimum is six months for Visibility and Domination, or twelve for Authority. That creates an observation period; it does not make results certain.
■ 02What happens after the minimum term?
The published terms provide for 30 days' notice after the minimum term. Review whether the work justifies continuing, rather than treating the original commitment as a reason to keep spending.
■ 03Can I change tier?
The published programme terms do not specify a tier-change policy. Ask us to agree the new scope, fee and any effect on your minimum term in writing. Do not assume an upgrade or downgrade resets or removes the existing commitment.
■ 04Is there a cheaper option?
Visibility at £1,500 a month is our lowest-priced published programme. Doing a smaller amount yourself may reduce cash spending if you have the skills and time, but it is a smaller scope. If the minimum commitment is unaffordable, do not stretch to it on the assumption that early sales will cover the fee.
